How We Serve Families

Having a student with disabilities comes with attending meetings and understanding the information presented. As your Advocate, we will attend meetings with you to ensure any on-the-spot issues are immediately responded to and resolved. Advocacy services includes Individualized Education Plan Review, Reading Assessment, and Lottery Advising (if necessary).

We will review your students written education plan, evaluation, and any other related documents. This review will be done to ensure it is written in compliance with state and federal guidelines, and most importantly, it is written to fit your child's individual needs- not simply what the school can provide. You will receive a written report on your child's education plan that you can use in your next meeting. Standalone IEP Review does not include attending meetings. 

Experienced reading instruction, we will administer a reading assessment to your child. Conduct an assessment of your student's phonological awareness. The results will be available to you and will be used to help identify target areas for reading instruction and monitor progress. 

Applying to public charter schools using the lottery system can be daunting for any family. This is especially true for families of students with disabilities. We will work with your family to identify your students specific needs, which schools would be a good fit, and assist with the application process.
